Difference.
“Why should I trust 9th Gear Marketing to create the Internet marketing strategy and copy that generates the results I want?”
That question probably sums up what you may be thinking. After all, there’s a whole world of copywriters and Internet marketers out there.
Let’s start with a bold statement few other professionals would dare make: I’m NOT the world’s best copywriter and marketer.
Oh, they’re out there. If you are willing to shell out $20k for a single sales letter or pay the equivalent of a Tesla for someone to craft your website or marketing funnel, you’ll get the best. (It may take you months on end to actually receive a draft, though… and years to turn that expense into a profit.)
But I’m willing to bet I have the qualities and credentials that few other advertising agencies or multimillion-dollar copywriters do. Let’s start with the most important:
1. I care.
Those two words are rare to find in today’s business services market.
- “I care” means from the start I will ask the right questions to better understand your goals.
- “I care” means I will spend the extra time needed to research your product or service, your target market and your organization.
- “I care” means I respect your schedule, your budget and your deadline.
- “I care” means I will not settle at skimming the top of your expectations, but aim miles above them.
- “I care” means if for any reason you say, “ehh” after reading my copy, I will re-work it until you are satisfied.
- “I care” means I don’t stop at caring about the copy I write, but with the results you get.
2. I am versatile.
A recent client of mine who was behind the eight ball with a new website launch, explained his collaboration quandary. He was using one agency to write his website, another to design it and a third to promote it. In addition, he used someone else to write his brochure and one final person to design it.
That’s a mix of 5 people and agencies. All with different ideas, technologies, prices and timeframes. What a mess! He’ll be lucky to launch this decade.

I believe I’m the luckiest man alive because my passion — my love — IS my job. It IS what pays the bills. What that means for you is that I’ll invest more time, more energy and more heart into perfecting the copy for your project.
And this passion translates to results as well. We’ve all read our share of uninspired and boring copy. If it’s dull to read, how can it possibly inspire people to pull out their wallet and make a purchase? It can’t. Only copy that’s energetic, clear and powerful delivers sales.
